The Railway Department will purchase SPLIT or SAWN PURIRI SLEEPERS, 7ft. by Sin. by 61n, in size, in lots of 100 or more, delivered and stacked at any station or siding on the Auckland Railway at three shillings (3s) each ; or if brought to Auckland or Onohunga by sea, 3s Oil will he paid. Offers lo supply will be received at the Railway Storekeeper's Office, Newmarket, up to 16th June, 1890. Sleepers to be all heartwood, freo from large knots, shakes, and oilier defects ; hewn true in shape and out of winding ; lobe stacked as directed, and to approved and passed by the Railway Inspector. On receiving notice of delivery of sleeporsou proper form (obtainable at the Railway Stations, Auckland, Newmarket, Pukekohe, andHeleiisvllle), the Rosldent Engineer, Auckland, will Bend an Inspector to pass and brand the sldepers, aud for such as pass inspection payment will he made within twenty-eight days, or as near as may be, of the Storekeeper'!, ccrtitwtg.
