CRICKET IN ENGLAND.
MR. STODDART AND LORD SHEFFIELD.
Press Blatlon.—Electric Telegraph.—
London, May 8. When Mr. Stoddart left for Australia last year he was unable to accept Lord Sheffield's invitation to play against All England eleven owing to the absence of three of his team. A heated correspondence has since been carried on between Mr. Stoddart and Lord Sheffield, and the latter has now closed the gates of his famous park against all members of Mr, Stoddart's team.
