On Tuesday we cleared an extra large catalogue of hides, sheep skins, tallow, etc, Hides: Competition brisk throughout, and late quotations fully maintained, with upward tendency on medium ox and cow. Prime ox sold from 6Jd to 7sd, extra stout, 5d to Gil ; stout, 4d to 4.U ; medium, 3Jd to 3Jd ; light and sheety, 2|d to 3d ; cow, best line? 3}d to 3jjd; medium,3d; inferior,2Jd to 2iH; calf, 3d to 3Jtl, for good lots. Damaged ot classes nominal. i Sheep skins: Local green and best country salted, large, 3s 3d to 3s 6d; medium, 3s; small, 2s to 2s Gd ; dry equal to 5d per lb for woll woollod. Tallow : Dull of sale, with downward tendency. Sales from 14s to 16s per cwt for good ordinary. Rough fat, Id to Igd per lb.
