RELIGIOUS EDUCATION.
[BY telegraph—press ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Thursday, AT a meeting attended by a number of representatives of religious bodies and the schools of the city, it was resolvod to take immediate stops to organiso opposition to the proposed introduction of tho Irish Scripture textbook into the State schools, or any other interference with the present educational system. A public meeting is to be convened.
