London, May 4. The press declare that the trial of Captain LothaiiM for the murder of Mr. Stokes was a farce, and allude to the fact that Dr. Msrceana, one of the
accused's party, who admitted to the Pall Mall Gazette representative some time back that Lothaire ordered the execution of Stokes without a courtmartial, was not called to give evidence. The prosecutor eulogised the conduct of the accused. The. Belgian press urge the Government to claim a return of the indemnity paid to the deceased's friends.
