BRUNNERTON RELIEF FUND.

[BY TELEGRAPH.-PRESS ASSOCIATION], CiißisTCiiOßOii, Tuesday. At ft meeting of tho executive of the Brunner relief fund today, Mr. G. G. Stead, hon. treasurer, reported that £4770 was lying to the credit of the fund in the Union Bank. He understood that Lyttelton, Timaru, Anaroa, and Ashburton between them had collected nearly an additional £1000. Asovor £600 has been remitted direct to the Went Coast without joiiiK through the committee, it would bo seen that considerably ovor £6000 had been contributed by Canterbury. The Mayor and Mr. G. G. Stead were appointed delegates to attend the conference convened by tho Premier in Wellington to decide as to the disposal of the fund. A. resolution was carried, "That it is desirable that the whole funds should be applied to the relief of those who had suffered through the disaster." We are in reoeipt of a copy of the balancesheet of tho concert lately riven by tho American Order of Oddfellows in the City Hall, in aid of Hie Brunner relief fund, from which it will be seen that the total receipts from the sale of tickets in advanoo and at the doors, reserving fees, and a donation of 15s from Kawaka<va was £48. The contra being: Hire of hall, printing and advertising, £10 18 a i petty expenses, 14s 6d; in all £11 lib Qd, leaving the respectable balance of £36 7s 6d, which has been handed to the secretary of the fund.
