The Northern Company's steamer lona arrived last night from Mercury Bay and Kuaotutm, and left for tiie Great Barrier. Last evening the Huddart-Parker steamer Rurrambeet left lor East Coast and Southern porta. The Northern Company's steamer Waiotahi left last evening for Tauranga and Opotiki. To-day the schooner Aotea sails for the East Coast and Gisliurne.

This evening the Union Company's steamer Ovitla.ii leaves for Tonga, Samoa, Fiji, and Sydney. At noon today the Union Company's •reamer Pukaki leaves for W'estport, The Devonpoi't Ferry Company's steamer Eagle is in the Auckland Dock for cleaning and painting. Yesterday the barque Northern Chief tailed from the Kaipara for Sydney. The barque Acacia is turning out her cargo of produce from Lyttelton in excellent order. She leaves for the Thames about Saturday next to load white pine timber at Baguali's mill for Melbourne.

The Union Company's steamer Te Kapo is due at this port from the South next week with a cargo of produce. On discharge she returns to the Bluff diced to load produce back to this port, Yesterday the brigantine Lady Mabel arrived at Napier from Newcastle. H.M.9. Pyladca leaves to-day for Fiji and the Solomon Islands, where she will remain for some months.

On April 23 the Norwegian barque Alf Bailed from Adelaide for the Friendly Islands to load copra for Europe. The schooner Alice May arrived at Sydney from Norfolk Island on April 23, and sailed again for the Islands on the 29th. The barque Alcestis has been chartered to load timber at the Kaipara for Sydney. On March 11 the Norwegian barque Nebo arrived at St. Michael's from Fiji, leaking. On April 24, the Kauri Timber Company's brig Vision arrived at Sydney from the Kaipara. The three masted scow Whangaroa has sailed from Sydney to Devonport (Tasmania), and loads [produce back to Sydney.

THE FLORA. The Union Company*! steamer Flora left Napier for Guboroe and this port latt evening. She u expected to leave Giiborne about eight o'clock this morning, and should arrive at Auckland about ten a.m. to-morrow. She returns South on Friday afternoon.

ROUGH PASSAGE OF A BARQUE. The Norwegian barque Corona, which bu arrived at Melbourne from Mauritius, reports having had a trying experience daring a hurricane which raged on the Bth ultimo. The wheel cbaina broke and the barque for a time was unmanageable, a fearful sea running, and the vessel greatly handicapped by the overpresa of canvas. The cargo of sugar shifted, and several deck spars breaking adrift from the lashing smashed about the deck, doing a considerable amount of damage. Ultimately the vessel was got tinder control and arrived safely at Melbourne.
