Splendid weather greeted the opening day o {the A.J.C. Autumn Meeting, which took place at Ramlwick to-day. The course was in excellent condition. There was a large attendance, including vice-regal parties from Victoria, South Australia, and New South Wales.

The field was despatched on excellent terms, Albicore being tho first to assert herself, and she piloted the way to the sheds, with Courallie in close attendance, Responso at this time lying well back. Entering the straight, True Blue closed up a little, while response began to como through the field. Before reaching the distance Courallie challenged Albicore, and she was soon in trouble. Response and True Blue then made their efforts, but Courallie running very gamely, increased her lead, and at the finish won very easily, there being a closo finish for second place: Time, lm 40Js. A singular feature of the race was that the jockeys on the placed horses are all brothers.
