BOYS' AND GIRLS' SID-The two aides of the School are quite separate, while each is under tlio immediate supervision of the Head Master. The Cli ef Masters in each department undertake the work of the highest forms on both sides of the School. Tho Girls' School is on the south side of the building, and tlioy enjoy the uso of the two lawn tennis courts. FEES.—These are : For Pupils in the Lower School, if miller the age of thirteen years, £2 Ids per term; for all others, £3 10s per term, except that for two members of ono family, both chargeable with the higher fee, it is reduced to £3 3s each. All fees aro payable in advance to the Treasurer, who attends at the School to collect thein on the first Tuesday and the following Monday in each term. COURSE OF INSTRUCTION.—The ordinary course comprises tho usual English subjects, Mathematics (including Arithmetic), Writing, I "rawing, Latin, French, ami Natural Science, and Germ in The study of Latin is optional Hook- eeping, Mensuration, and Shorthand are nmongsi the alternative subjects for boys. The School offers special advantages for the study of Natural and Technical Science, the Upper. Forms having the u?e of a well-furnished Chemical Ulioratory. Science-toaching is begun as early as possible. The subjects for the J.ower Forms arc ldomentary Chemistry ami Physics. In the highest form on the Boys' side the subjects taken are Chemistry (including Qualitative Analvsi-) and Electricity and Magnetism ; in the highest form on the Girls' side, Botany and Mechanics. The course in Mechanical Drawing on it ho Boys' side includes Plane and Solid Geometry, followed by Working Dr. wings from actual machinery. Pupils who have commenced with the ordinary course may, at the beginning of aim term, substitute the alternative subj-cts for Latin. Drill and Gymnastic exercises are compulsory for all not specially exempted. Classes in Cookery will be held during this term. Arrangements can be made for lessons in Music outride tho school hours. WORKSHOP.—lnstruction and practice is given in Carpentering, Joining, and Turning by Mr. TrevUhick in the School Workshop. The classes meet in the luncheon hour ami after afternoon school. Tho only charge is for the actual valuo of timber used. BOARDERS.-The Head Master takes a limited number of boys as hoarders at his lesidence, Homo Bay, Ponsonby; and is prepared to make arrangements whereby girls may be boarded with oilier members of the staff, FIRST TERM, 1896. The School will Re-open on TUESDAY, February 11th, at a quarter-past nine. The Head Master will be in attendance at the School for the purpose of receiving parents and enrolling now pupils "ii FRIDAY, February 7th, from 2 till 6 p.m., and on MONDAY, February 10th, at 0.15 a.m. The Entrance Examination, for tho classification of new pupils, will bo held at 10 a.m. on MONDAY. THE SCHOOL COURSE includes instruction in Holy Scriptute, the ordinary English Subjects, Latin, French, Mathematics, Science, Drawing, and in those subjects which are adapted to the requirements of boys intended for a commercial career. In addition to the ordinary School Course, instruction will be given in Military Drill, Gymnastics, Shorthand, and Carpentry. BOARD KRS : The dormitories and bath-rooms have been fitted-up with every modern convenience with a view to the health and comfort of the Roys. The domestic arrangements will be superintended by Mrs. Ashton Bruce. Special 'Buses from town and Farnell at reduced rates for the convenience of Day-boys. The Gollego is six minutes' walk from Remuera Railway Station. Prospoctuses may bo had on application to the Principal. The College will be open on February 11th.
