The usual' monthly lime-light entertainment in connection with the Sailors' Home was held in the hall adjoining the principal building . last evening. Some sixty views of the various ports and places of interest to those connected with seafaring were shown, accompanied by explanatory remarks, There were a good number present, and the entertainment was much appreciated, • •; The third lecture by Mr. A. B. Maston was delivered in t(ie Wesley Hall last night to a large andiepco; the subject being "Jerusalem The City of tho Groat King." Having spent some time in tho Holy City the lecturer was able to give most interesting accounts of the innumerable historical spots with which it abounds. Mr. Cooper's dissolving limelight views were a feature in themselves. , A boy was arrested yesterday for larceny of a small quantity of fruit. ' ! Tickets for the Christian Endeavour picnic to Waitakerei, arid the lit, James' Church picnic to Henderson on January 29, are now being sold at the railway station, and also by the committees.
