Intelligence lias been received that King Prempeh placed his head between the feet of Governor Maxwell of the Gold Coast Colony and pleaded lie only possessed 602 ounces of geld, and was unable to pay the indemnity of £50,000. Maxwell remains at Coomassie with 600 Houssa troops and a contingent of the West Indian regiment,
