The railway traffic returns give the following particulars concerning the North Auckland small railways for the four weeks ending December 7,1895, and for the corresponding four weeks of 1894 :— Kawakawa Section. v 1895. The last-named is holding its own well as a profitable liue, for although the amount of people and goods carried is much less than on the Wlmugarci line, yet the expenditure bus been so small that the profits for the mouth are £168 16s, against only £85 on the Whangarei line, with its much larger bußineßß.-f.Owu Correspondent.] ... >•
