A meeting of the Match Committee of the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association was held on Monday to consider the protest of the Remuera and Auckland Clubs against the West End Club's inclusion of a Hamilton player in their entries for the inter-olnb doubles. Correspondence was read with regard to statements made by the secretary of the Wpst End Club who was asked to attend the meeting which' then adjourned till the afternoou to enable the secretary of the Association to interview the playor objected to. The meeting then resumed and adjourned till yesterday morning to enable the West End Club to produce their minute book. At the meeting yesterday morning the following resolution was passed after waiting for aquarter of an hour for the appearance of the West End delegate"That in view of the conflicting evidence, and in the absence of the i West End Club's minute book, this committee , has no' alternative but to order the two matches to be played over again." Tho matches between Remuera and West End Clubs will therefore bar* to be played on Saturday next.
