The funeral trains crowded with mourners furnished a distressing spectacle as they landed their freights, living and dead, at the mortuary chapel at Necropolis. It is still raining in Sydney and coastal districts and the atmosphere is cool. Later. At Bourke, the thormomoter registered 118 in the shade, and two deaths were recorded. At Wilcannia it was 116, and there were also two deaths, including Mr. Thompson, Chairman of tho Tipla Land Board.
