CHARGE OF PERJURY.

London, January 21. Monson, who was acquitted on the charge of shooting Lieutenant Hambrough, has been charged with perjury under the name of Wyville. The charge is the outoome of the burning of Monson's house at Douglas, in connection with which he made a claim of £500 from the Royal Insurance Company for jewellery destroyed.
