-— 4 ——. The Opera House should bo orowdod to-night to hear tlio second concert of tho Court Singers. The programme to be presented is one of rare excellence, and we believe all the vocal items are now to Auckland audiences. The musical public will have the opportunity of becoming acquainted with some of the latost European successor Frau Mrxgarethe von Vahgel, whose charming presence and singing created such a favourable impression on Friday last, will sing no less than e.lfht t linos ; her programme items, including tho great air from tho now opera " Hans Hieiing," accompanied by the Orchestral Union j a now waltz song by Bohin ; and by special I'equosfc the "Birthday Song," one of the successful piocoa at> the last conoert. She will also sing duets with Herr Schmalfeld, including the great duet from Mascacni's beautiful opera " Uavallerla Rusticana,' 1 now all tho rage In Europe and America. Herr Schmalfeld will sing tho groat tenor air from Wagner's opera "Die Walkuro," aR well as other items. Tho Orchestral Union will play some of the accompaniments, also the overture "Cheval do Bronze," and Svenson's "Norwegian Rhupsodie, No. 4." besides two grand selections; and 1 the concert will be under the patronage and in the presenco of His Worship tho Mayor (Mr. J. J. Holland), Judging from tho plan a largo audience may be anticipated.
