A meeting of the Finance and Logal Committee will be hold same evening ab 7 o'clock. Accounts: Municipal Fire Insurance League, Auckland Underwriters Association. A meeting of the Kangitoto Island Domain Board will be afterwards held. Business: Remittance from Mr. Branson letter to Hie Excellency the Governor 5 track to foot) of cone. The pigeon match for junior members of the Auckland Homing Pigeon Flying Club, was held on Saturday last, the course being from Huntly to Auckland. The birds from Mr. Howie's loft, Newton Road,' were the firßt to arrive, and those of Mr. Angus, of Sentinel Road, Ponsonby, were next; bub as the loft of the first mentioned is something like two' miles closor to the startingpoint than that of Angus, and the difference in the time of arrival would about equalise the mileage allowance between the two lofts, the question arises as to which' of the birds win.,; The matter will be clecldod at a meeting of the committee this evening,t• ■ ■ '%
