Chiustchitrch, Thursday. Perfect weather prevailed to-day for the Pioneer Bicycle Club's aunual inter-pro-vincial race meeting. About 40% people were present. The asphalt track was in splendid order, and several New Zealand records were broken. Competitors were present from all parts of the colony. The results are as follow :— One Mile Maiden Roadster : J. W. Jones, Pioneer 8.C., 1; E. Casbolt, Pioneer C., 2 ; N. Line, Pioneer 8.C., 3. Six started. Won easily by 'JOyd*. Time, '2m. ,'lfis. Half mile Bicycle Handicap: J. W. Jones, Pioneer 8.C., 30yds. 1: C. J. Home, Otago C.C., 40yds, 2: W. \V. Pilkington, Auckland A.A.C. and C.C., 3)yds, 3. Won by five yards. Time, lni.'s. InlirsthcatC.H.Jones,Pioneer 8.C., scratch, was first. His time, 1 in. 7 2-Oi., is equal to the New Zealand record. F. G. Simpson, Pioneer 8.C., scratch, won the second heat in Im. 7 3-53. One-mile Roadster Handicap : E. Casbolt. Pioneer 8.C., 9')yts, 1; E. Thompson, Oxford C.C., G-iyds, 2; F. Benjamin, Pioneer 8.C., 80yds, 3, Won by 10yds. Time, '2m. 22 Ms. One-mile Championship of Canterbury : C. H. Jones, Pioneer B.C. 1; W. L. Kerr, Sydney 8.C., 2; F. G Simpson, Pioneer 8.C., 3 L. F. Herbert and T. M. Lucy, Wellington C.C. : W. F. Waller, J. 0. Slior land, H, Thompson, W. H. Langdown, F. J. Ritchie, Pioneer 8.C.; G. Peterson, Napier Wanderers B.C. ; H. Cameron, Otago C.C., also started. Jones came with a magnificen spurt in the last 20i)yds, and beat the Sydney champion by 4yds. Simpson, 10yds away, was third; Lucy, fourth; Shorl&nd, fifth. Time, 2m. 24 l-ss, which is one-fifth socond over the New Zealand record.
220 yds Fiat Handicap : H. W. Johnston, 19yds, 1; A. F. Ciark, 14yds, 2; G. E. King, 10yds. 3. Eleven started, including W. Cartwright, New South Wales, H. M. Rewes, Canterbury. Won by a few inches, Time. 22 4 sths s.
One Miles Ladies' Bracelet Handicap : W. L. Kerr, Sydney 8.C., .scratch, 1; J. H. Thompson, Pioneer 8.C., 30yds. 2; C. E. T. Hall, rimaru Tourists C.C., 30yds, 3. This was a splendid race, and won by 2yds; syds separated the second and third. Time, '2m. '20 2 sths. — 3 oths s. under the New Zealand record 410 yds Flat Handicap' D. Wood, 20yds, 1; F.
