In their letter to the Times, Turquand and Young explain that on November 15 they informed Mr. Martin, chairman of directors of tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company, of the amount of the deficit, but the Board did not mention this in their report. The Times says the whole trouble arose through no one person or body being made responsible for the entire scheme,
