It was thought that the I'onsonby educational row was ended by die nomination of Mr. T. U. Wells to the mastership of the Richmond Road School, whereas in fact it has scarcely begun. The Board, I am informed, before the nomination, let the School Committeo know that they would not appoint Mr. Wells. As in the previous fracas it remains to be seen whether the Board or the School Committee will eat " humble pie," and retrace their steps. In the meantime canvassing is going on vigorously for another headmaster, who desires "a change of air."
