DEATH OF DUMAS.
Press Association.—Electric Telegraph.— Paris, November 27. Alexandre Dumas is dead.
The Papakura Valley cricketers journed to Whitford Park on Saturday last and played tho local team. The scores were: —Whitford Park: First innings, 60; second, 23 total, 83. Papakura Valley; First innings, 9; second, 11; total, 20. Whitford Park thus winning by 63 runs. For the winning team George Cooper secured 8 wickets tor 9 runs, and W. Cooper 11 wickets for 10 runs: whilst for Papakura Valley, C. Middloton obtained 8 wickets for 28; H. J. Jones 8 for 33: R. Cockertoui! for 19: and R. Middleton 2 for 3,. The positions of the clubs in the Franklin Cricket . Asssoiation now areWhitfotd Park, two wins ; Pakuranga and Papakura Valley, one win each; and Wairoa two defeats. •
