THE AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET.
In no respect is the increased interest in mining affairs more marked than in the Bharemarket, and notwithstanding its remarkable sensibility, the fact that there is a steady and in some instances a striking advance in the values of many mining stocks is very noticeable. Nor is the improvement confined to any one portion of the goldfields. The business yesterday was brisk. The telegraphed information thab specimens had been obtained from various workings in the May Queen mine quite justified the advance in prices from 9a 9d to 10s 3d with a steady demand. In Talismans and other Karangahake mines there is a perceptible advance; Waihi Silvertons were in good demand, sales being effected ab 14s 6d and 14a 9d. Coromandel stooks, especially Welcome Finds, have come into prominence, shares changing hands yesterday at 3s 3d, while Golden Hills sold at la 2d. Try Flukes have rapidly risen in value from about 2a to 4s 6d, at which price there was an unsatisfied demand lasb evening, and KapaiVermonts, amongst other Kuaotunu stocks, are not only firmer, but have advanced in .price. Details will be found in the share report in our commercial columns.
