CHARGE OF INFANTICIDE.
[BY TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION.] Invercargill, Thursday. At Winton to-day Minnie Dean, wife of Charles Dean, was arrested on a charge of having, on or aboub the 3rd instant, murdered an infant named Eva Hornoby. She was brought before the Justices and remanded to the 16bh instant, to appear at Milton, Otago. The arresb was made by Detectives McG'rath (Dunedin)and Herberb. Accused has for several years made a business of keeping infants, and was once before the Court on a charge of neglecting several children under her care but was acquitted. The police are reticent as to the details of the presenb charge, but ib is understood that the infant was about a month old.
