The Union Co. a steamer Mahinapua leaves Onehunga for New Plymouth and Wellington immediately after the arrival of the mail steamer Mariposa from San Francisco. Yesterday the barque Kathleen Hilda arrived at Wellington from Newcastle after a passage of 14 days, She wa» delayed in Cook's Strait for six days by contrary winds. : The sohooner Queen sailed from Hokianga for this port yesterday. Yesterday the Union Company's steamer Hauroto arrived at Wellington from Sydney. She brought 29 saloon ana 32 steerage passengers. To-day the Melanesian Mission yacht will come out of dock. She leaves for Norfolk Island and Melanesia on April 5. The loading of the barque Ophelia for London is proceeding rapidly, and she is expected to Bail early next week. The American barque H. G. Johnson is making a long passage from Wellington to this port, she being now twelve days out. Oh discharge of cargo she loads with kanri gum for New York for Messrs. Arnold, Cheney, and Co. The barque Acacia is discharging at the Railway Wharf. She is to leave for the Thames early next week to load timber at Bagnall'S Mill for Melbourne. The barque Lota, which fins arrived a* Newcastle from Rio, fell in with a large number of icebergs during the passage. When in 30 degrees east and 45 degrees south several icebergs were in sight. On the following day the vessel was surrounded by large bergs. In the vicinity of St. Paul's » few more bergs were sighted. The three-masted scow Whangaroa sailed from Lyttelton for Timaru yesterday. Yesterday the brigantine Eliot Firth arrived at Lyttelton from the Kaipara. The Union Co.'s steamer Takapuna has completed her overhaul at Port Chalmers, and resumes her running between Onehunga, New Plymouth, Wellington, and Lyttelton, leaving the Manukau on Monday next. THE MARIPOSA. There was no appearance of the mail steamer Mariposa from San Francisco, Honolulu, and Apia, tip to an early hour this morning. She may he expected to arrive during the forenoon, and will leave for Sydney a few hours after arrival. THE SYDNEY STEAMERS. The Union Co.'s steamer Mararoa left Sydney for this port last' evening, and is due early on Monday evening. She leaves for Southern ports, Hobart, and Melbourne at two o'clock on Tuesday afternoon. The Anglian left Sydney for this port last evening, and is due on Monday morning. She leaves for East Coast and Southern porta at 10 o'clock on Tuesday morning. The Tasmania left Lyttelton for Wellington, Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland yesterday, and is due on Sunday afternoon. She leaves for Sydney tin Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The Monowai, from Melbourne, Hobart, aud Southern ports, is due here on Tuesday morning, and leaves for Sydney at 2 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon. THE AOTEA. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Co.'s new cargo steamer Aotea is now 55 days out from London, and may be expected to arrive to-day. Messrs.
