She loads timber at Kopuru for Sydney. The Union Company's steamer Rotomahana from this port arrived at Sydney yesterday. Yesterday the barque Excelsior sailed from the Kaipara for Melbourne with a cargo of timber. The Island schooner Takitumu has gone alongside the barque Lutterworth to tranship her cargo of copra, etc., into that vessel for London. The brigantine Eliza Firth left Wellington for Lyttekon yesterday. Yesterday the T\ser Company's steamer Star of Victoria left Gisborne for Wellington to complete her loading for Loudon. Yesterday the Union Company's steamer Ohau left Lvttelton for Timaru and this port, and is due on Saturday next.

THE MARAROA. The Union Company's steamer Mararoa left Gisborne for this port at 10.17 a.m. yesterday, with the following passengers:— dames Beatt}', Gault, Nelson, Gorrie, Barnard, Misses Smith, Cufl, Richardson, Johnston, Rev. Malcolm, Messrs. Fenwick, Heredine, Nelson, Renuie, Bell, Hammond, pH.vne. Todd, and 23 natives. She may be expected to arrive about eight o'clock this morning, and proceeds on to Sydney at 5 p.m. to-morrow.

THE WAIHORA. There was no sign of the Union Company's steamer Waihora, from Sydney, up to the hour of our going to press. She has probably been delayed by heavy weather, and may be expected to arrive at any moment She is announced to leave for Southern Ports, Hobart, and Melbourne at eight o'clock tonight. THE MAORI. The Tyser Company's steamer Maori left Sydney on Friday last for this port, and is due on Thursday next On discharge of cargo she proceeds to Southern ports to load for London. THE WARSHIPS. Private letters have been received from Sydney stating that H.M.s. Orlando (with Admiral Bridge on board) and the Katootnba were to leave Sydney on January 31 for Hobart, where they remain until about the 20th instant, and then come on to this port. VESSELS SPOKEN. The Union Company's steamer Talune, which arrived at the Bluff from Melbourne and Hobart yesterday reports : —On the 3rd instant at 8.35 a.m. passed the ship Cromdale, of Aberdeen, in latitude 45.32 south, longitude 159.48 east, or 370 miles west of the Bluff, who wished to be reported "All well." At 5.30 p.m. the same day passed the barque Kiliarney, 270 miles west of the BlufL She also wished to be reported "All well." PORT OF ONBHUNGA. DEPARTURES.
