ANNUAL CHURCH MEETINGS.
ST. LUKE'S (PRESBYTERIAN). j £hk annual meeting of St. Luke's Presby-' terian Church was held in the hall on Friday evening. The Rev. G. B. Monro, the minister of the church, presided, and there was a fair attendance of members and adherents. Mr. Lennox read the report of session, which showed that the past year has been fairly prosperous, 27 new members had been added to the Communion roll, and 22 removed through leaving the district, and death, leaving 238 members on the roll. The secretary (Mr. Dinnison) read the committee's report, and Mr. Parker (the treasurer) the balancesheet. The latter showed the revenue of the church to be £491 16s, the year's account closing with a balance in hand of 18s Bd. The total amount raised by the church through all its branches amounted to £623 15s 7d. The following reports were also read:— Christian Endeavour, by Mr. Heriot; Sun-day-school, by Mr. Dingwall; Band of Hope, by Mr. T. Bright; and the Young Men's Mutual Improvement Society, by the minister. The following new members of committee were elected Messrs. E. Semadini, John Dempsey, and Alfred McDonald. Messrs. Hold en and Morpeth, were elected auditors. The meeting closed with prayer and praise.
