Neville, arrived at 9.15 a,m. yesterday from > Melbourne, Hobart, and Southern ports, making an exceptionally fast run of 21 hours from Gisborne. Mr. A. Murley, the purser, to whom we are indebted for our files, reports that the steamer left Melbourne at 5 p.m. on the 9th instant, called at Hobart, and reached the Bluff at 7 p.m. on the 14th; fine weather being experienced on the run across. She left Dunedin at 8 a.m. on the 16th, Lyttelton at 7 a-m. on the 18th, and Wellington on the 19th, calliug at Napier and Gisborne, leaving the latter port at 11.30 a.m. on the 21st, and arriving as above. Fine weather was experienced along the coast. The Waihora leaves for Sydney at 5 p.m. to-day. Last evening the Union Company's steamer Australia, Captain John Gibb, arrived from Wellington, Napier, aud the East Coast. Mr. Reeves, the purser, reports : The Australia left Wellington on the 17th inst., and arrived at Napier the next day. After running an excursion, left for the North at 10.30 p.m. on the 19th, and calling at Gisborne, Tologa Bay, Tokomaru, Waipiro, Tuparoa. Reparua, Awauui, and Oreti Point, arrived at the wharf at 7.15 p.m. yesterday, having had fine weather and smooth seas throughout the trip. The Australia leaves this evening for the East Coast, Napier, and Wellington. The Northern Company s steamer Wellington arrived from Whangarei last night with passengers and general cargo. She leaves tor the same place again at half-past ten o'clock to-night. v Lwtnightthe Northern Company's steamer Argyle arrived from Mercury Bay and Kuaotunu and left for the Great Barrier at midnight. She returns to-night The schooner Clansman arrived from Lyttelton yesterday afternoon with a cargo of wheat for the Northern Roller Mills. Captain H. Douglas reports sailing from Lyttelton on the 13th instant, and bad a light fair wind to Cape Paliser, which was passed on the 16th; the East Cape was passed on the 20th, when a hard northwesterly gale, lasting twelve hours, was met with; followed by light easterly winds to arrival. The schooner will berth at the Quay-street jetty to-day to discharge. Yesterday morning the schooner Annie Hill arrived from Lyttelton with a cargo of wheat, after a passage of nine days. On discharge she proceeds to the Thames to load white pine timber at Baguall's mill for Lvttelton. H.M.s. Ringdove left for Tauranga and Wellington yesterday morning. The Union Company' steamer Monowai left yesterday afternoon for Southern ports, Hobart, aud Melbourne. Last night the Union Company's steamer Rotokino left for Newcastle. The Northern Company's steamer Waiotahi leaves for Tauranga and Opotiki to-day at 5 p.m. To-day the schooner Jessie Niccol sails from Onehunga for Hokitika. The Union Company's steamer Ohau, which put back to port on Monday evening owing to an accident to her machinery, is to resume her passage to Greymouth early this morning. Mr. Malcolm Niccol has fixed the barque Devonport to proceed to Kaipara on discharge of her cargo of coal, to load timber for an Australian port, either Sydney or Melbourne. The steamer Aswanly arrived at Lyttelton from Napier yesterday. Yesterday the schooner Aratapu sailed from the Kaipara for Lyttelton. The brigantine Lady Mabel sailed from Hokianga for Sydney yesterday. THE WALLAROO. H.M. a. Wallaroo is under orders to proceed to Samoa before the 25th instant, and the warship will leave on Friday next.
