EXAMINATION OF ROMAN CATHOLIC SCHOOLS.
[BY IKLKGRAPn. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Timaru, Thursday. The Education Board to-day deferred its reply to the request that the inspector should examine Roman Catholic schools for the purpose of inquiring what schools are desired to be examined. A proposal to ask for a contribution to the extra cost, if any, was rejected, but an objection was raised to accediug on the score of expense, as the inspector musfe fairly be paid extra for extra work.
