BREACH OF RAILWAY REGULATIONS.
[BY telegraph.—press ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Tuesday. A man named Richard Apps was to-day fined 20s and costs for applying brakes bo a passenger carriage while a train was coming doWn the Rimutaka summit. The magistrate, after admonishing the defendant, said ib was fortunate for him the authorities did nob desire to press for a severe penalty.
