[BY TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION.] Christchurch, Monday. -The fire insurance companies having de dined to allow the usual 5 per cent, discount on premiums in Sydenham owing to the absence of a fire-extinguishine plant, und the failure of the Borough Council to ttake arrangements with the City Councilor the services of the Christchurch brigade, the Sydenham Council to-night decided-to offer the City Council £100 per annum for the use of their chemical engine and the housing of the railway steam fire engine.
