Tin: Auckland Trotting Club hold their Spring Meeting to-morrow, at Potter's Paddock. The programme to be brought off in connection therewith consists of seven events as follows Maiden Trot, Electric Trot, Tramway Handicap, Harness Trot, Spring Trot, Flying Handicap, and Handicap Hurdle Race. Ati additional attraction will be the American trotting stallion Laßue, who will be exhibited in trotting exercise. The first race is set down to be started at half-past one p.m. A Melbourne cablegram of yesterday's date states that Jeweller has been scratched for the Melbourne Cup. It will be seen by advertisement that the Auckland Coursing Club announce the Challenge Stakes of 1895 to be run in June. The stakes are for an unlimited number of dogs at £4 each, and the first payments of 5a are due on the 28th instant, at nine p.m., at the office of the secretary, Mr. C. F Mark. At a meeting of the committee of the Kennel Club, held yesterday, Mr. F. Avery was removed from the position of secretary, and Mr. C. F. Mark was appointed secretary in his stead.
