AUCKLAND. MESSRS. A. BUCKLAND AND SONS' WEEKLY REPORT. At the Haymarket, oaten sheaves have brought 2s 9d to 3s 3d; meadow hay, 2s 9d to 4s cwt. Potatoes, £2 5s ; bonedust, £5 15s; carrots, £1 10s; chaff, £3 ton; maize, 2s 2d oats, Is 8d to 2s 3d bushel. . On Friday, horse stock, yarded numerously, kept their values. Useful farm horses ranged from £14 to £19 each. . s ; On Tuesday, hides in full number kept their values. Ox hides mostly bring 2£d to 2|d; choice picked, up to 5d lb; tallow, 12s 6d to 18s 6d; bones, 3s cwt; butcher's skins, 3s to 4s 5d each. At Waiuku, on Saturday, the inclement weather occasioned the sale to be a dull one, and several pens of cattle were pasted. Those sold were at late values.

HUNTER AND NOLAN'S REPORT. _ Grain, seeds, horse feed : Ample quantities of grain have been brought forward More hay would have found purchasers, and there was an upward tendency in value. We quote: Maize, ex store, 2s Id to 2s 2d, on wharf 2s ; oats, Is 9d to 2s; bran, £2 12s 6d ton; oaten chaff, £2 10s to £2 15s. Horses continue in short supply and steady demand. We quote : Hacks from £5 5s to £10; medium draught, from £8 15s to £12;. heavy draughts, £12 5s to £28. Wool, hides, skins, tallow, ■ bones: Short supply, no noteworthy alteration in value. Cattle: A steady demand has existed. Dairy stock have fairly maintained their value, as also grown store steers. For young stock prices were in favour of the purchaser. We have held.four auction sales during the week, viz., Saturday at Mr. Hatley's, Monday at Mr. Newell's, Tuesday at Newmarket, and Wednesday at Papakura, and a large number changed hands. Beef ranged from 20s to 22s 1001b. Some averages of steers were £10 17s 2d, £10 12s 6d, £8 lis Bd, £8 4s sd, £7 15s, £7; cows, £7 15s, £6 15s, £6 7s 6d, £5 15s, £4 17s 6d. Sheep, brought forward in increased number, were keenly competed for. Wethers sold from 12s 6d to 21s 6d; ewes, 12s 6d 15s. Pigs scarce, only small ones yarded, which sold from 12s to 303 each.

MESSES. G. W. BINNEY AND SONS' REPORT. Hides: On Tuesday hides sold freely. Heavy stout ox sold from 4d to sd; medium, 3d to 3Jd; light ox and steer. 2£d ;to 2|d; heavy -cow, clean and well-flayed, sold from 2d to 2gd; wet, If d; inferior, 10 ; calf, 2d to 3d; stags, Id to l£d lb; damaged almost unsaleable. Sheep skins: All lots sold under brisk competition. Best skins sold from 4s to 4s 9d each; dry skins, 4d to 4Jd lb ; for sound pelted, torn and otherwise damaged, 2d to 3d lb. , . . Tallow: Ordinary, 16s to 17s; best, in small lots, 183 to £1 Is cwt; rough fat, lid lb. Bones: Local, £3 ton; shanks, £3 10s; selected round, £4 10s ton.
