Marsden Point, August 3. — Arrived: Terarawa, ketch, from Auckland. She carried away her jibboom close to the stem on Wednesday night in a N.N.E. gale, accompanied by thuuder and lightning, eight miles north of the Little Barrier. The gear hung alongside and under her bottom. The crew recovered it after a hard struggle. The vessel became almost unmanageable without her jib. They rigged the stump ot the boom yesterday morning, and were thus able to carry reefed jib, and made port this morning in the face of a westerly gale, which has been Wowing all day.
