Mr. J. M. Stahl, of Adams County, Illinois, advocates the feeding of wheats to live stock. He considers this plan . remunerative when the grain sella aa low as 2a 6d a bushel in Chicago. : He has used wheat extensively for cattle and pigs, and he has found that the best plan is to boil it, mixed with maize and turnips, and to give the mixture hob to the animal*. A meeting of the members of the Auckland Provincial Agricultural Association will be held at their office to-morrow afternoon to fix the date of next year's Show. An adjourned meeting of Auckland Accountants will be held in • the Lecture Hall of the National Association on Tuesday evening next. This evening there will be a harvest festival at All Saints' Church, Ponsdnby, and full choral service. : The fortnightly meeting of the Star of Auckland Lodge, 1.0.0. F., A.C., will be held this evening, for the purpose of taking part in the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Order.
