KAURI GUM MARKET. The following is the report of the gam market and ruling: quotations, as furnished to us by the committee of gum merchants— Ordinary ... £24 Good ordinary ... .... £30 East Coast ... £50 Parcels -of superior ordinary command*; higher prices, according to quality and degree of cleaning. Supplies from the Ist inst. to date, 4P/1 tons. Supplies are exceeding the demand, and the prices remain nominal. BY TELEGRAPH. DUNE DIN OATS; Dunedin, April 25. — The market has slightly improved, not because of any demand from outside, but simply owing to growers being less disposed to quit at the low prices ruling lately. Sellers are not pressing sales, and the few put on the market are more readily taken up at prices a shade better than those obtaining lately. The advance so far, however, is not much, but indicates a firmer tone. The broken weather prevailing is delaying delivery. The quantity now coming forward is a good deal less extensive; indeed, the idea prevails that the yield this season will be very muoh short of expectations. The quotations are :— For prime milling, Is ssd to Is 6d; best bright short feed, Is 4Jd to Is sd; medium to good, Is 3&d to Is 4£a; inferior, Is 2£d to Is 3d; black, Is 4d to Is 4sd; ex store sacks extra. z
