A very successful meeting of the Howick and Pakuranga Band of Hope tookplace in the Pakuranga Hall. The following programme was got up by Miss Lindsay aud Mr. T. R. White. The address was given by Mr. Green on " Alcohol and Muscular Power" :—Hoyle's hymn, No. 186; prayer by Mr. Green; piano solo, Angels of Dawn," Miss Mattson ; recitation, "Thief and the Bear/' Master David Bell; recitation, "Little Pat aud the Parson/' Master J. Thompson; song, There's No One Like Mother to Me," Miss Lizzie Roberts, encored, and gave "Tit for Tat;" recitation, "Farmer and Counsellor," Master J. Mattson; song, "Remember or Forget," Miss Bertha Lindsay; piano solo, ' Old and New Gavotte," Miss Edith Roberts; song, Mr. George Bell; song, " The Rose of Allandale." Miss Lizzie Andrew recitation, «' Drive the Nail Aright," Master Alex. Bell; recitation, "Our Polks," Miss F. Hattaway; piano solo, "White Wings," Miss Emily Andrew; recitation, "King John and the Abbot of Canterbury," Miss Mabel Lindsay ; gong, "Don't Tell Mother," Miss Lizzie Roberts; pianoforte duet, Misses Lizzie and Linda Andrew.
