BOARD OF EDUCATION ELECTION.
MR. W. WOODWARD ELECTED. At the meeting of the Board of Education yesterday, voting papers from the different committees were received for the election of a member to fill the vacancy caused in the Board by the resignation of Mr. W. B. Buckhurst. The secretary stated that 238 voting papers had been issued, and 176 returned. The following is the result of the election:—William Woodward (elected), 43; Edmund Harvey Taylor, 34; John David McKenzie, 29; James Walton, '25; Joseph Blades, 24; Alexander Grant* 10; Edwin Harold Montgomery, 9; Henry Hunter, 1; Charles May Barton, 1.
