James Bissell, of tl»e Wanderers Bicycle Club, essayed to-day the task of lowering the New Zealand bicycle record for ten miles, which stands at 26m . 493. He failed to lower this, taking 27m. 4s. to complete the distance: but he cut down the records for two and three miles, for which his times were sra. iO2-ss.'and7m. 51 2-ss.
