SOUTH AUCKLAND RACING CLUB'S AUTUMN MEETING. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Hamilton, Monday. The Autumn Meeting of the South Auckland Racing Club was held on the Club's course at Claudelands to-day, and was in every way most successful. There was a large attendance of the public. The fields were large, and the racing good throughout. The results are as follow :— Trial Handicap, seven furlongs. Grippe, Sst 21b, 1; Rebel, Bst 71b, 2; Irene, 7st B'b, 8. Ten horses ran. Dividend (10s tickets), £1 14s. Won by a length, after a good race. Handicap Hurdle Race, one mile and threequarters.— Flukem, list, 1; Nero; lOst 101b, 2; Pretender, lOst, 3. Flukem, who was favourite, won easily. Dividend, £1. Waikato Handicap, one mile and a-quarter.— Folly, Sat 21b, 1; Ida, Bsfc 91b, 2; La Grippe, 6st lllb, 3. Ida was favourite for this race, and led to the entrance of the straight, when Folly shot to the front and won by a length. Dividend, £2125. Pony Handicap, six furlongs.—Mavourneen. Bsb 51b, 1; Nelly, 6st 91b, 2 ; Ramrod, 7st 91b, 3. Nine started. Mavourneen, who got all the best of a bad start, won all the way, Nelly coming up with a rush at the post, secured second place by a short bead from Ramrod. Dividend, £2 6s. Resurrection Stakes, six furlongs.— Ladybird, 7st 31b, 1 ; Norina, Sst 3)b, 2 ; Irene, 7st 101b, 3. Dividend, £2 7s. Handicap Steeplechase.—Yum Yum, lost 71b, 1; Nero, list, 2.' Flukem, list 71b, was the only other starter. This was a splendid race, the three horses keeping together twice round. In the last round Flukem fell at the jump opposite the station, his jockey, Collins, being stunned for some time. Yum Yum then went to the front and won by two lengths from N«ro. This was the most popular win of the day, and was received with great cheering. Dividend, £1 7s, Publicans' Purse. One mile.—Clarion, 7st 61b, 1; Folly, Bst 61b, 2: Ida, Bst 12lb, 3. Dividend, £2 6s. Flying Stakes. Six furlongs.—St. Mary, 7sfc 101b, 1; Acacia, Sst 71b, 2 ; Dark Rose, 7st, 3. This was a good race, for which Acacia went out a hot favourite, but could only get second. Six started. Dividend, £13 10s.
A DISQUALIFICATION REMOVED. Thames. Monday. The stewards of the Thames Jockey Club have decided to remit the remaining portion of the six months' disqualification which they inflicted upon the racehorse Ingorma for in and out running at the club s summer meeting in December last, as they consider the punishment already sustained is sufficient to meet the case.
Mr. J. Kean left for Wellington yesterday by the Takapuna with Lottie, who is engaged at the Wellington Autumn Meeting.^ The handicaps in connection with the Garrett Benefit Meeting, which takes piece on Saturday next, at Ellerslie, are to be declared to-day. The trotters Yum Yum, Black Oats, and Ike were taken South yesterday by E. Edwards.
