THE GOLDFIELDS.
[BY tkleorafh.—OWN CORRESPONDENT,] Thames, Saturday. May Qoken.—Some nice dabs of gold were seen to-day in No. 4 reef in the drive west of Moore's winze at No. 3 level. The reef at this point is about five inches in thickness and is composed principally of a clayish formation, but the gold seen today was found in some pebbles of quartz that were mixed with the clay. Wilson and party, tributers, finished a crushing of four loads of quartz to-day for the payable return of 20oz, 4dwts, of gold.
