LODGE STAR OF THE NORTH, No. 1(547. E.C. * Tim members of the above lodge Meld their annual festival of installation of W.M. and investiture of officers for the ensuing year in their lodge-room, Walton-street, on Wednesday, April 18th. The lodge was opened in the usual form at six p.m., and after the routine business had been satisfactorily disposed of, Brother H. S. Hill, S.W., was presented to the Installing Master, Brother T.. MoGlintock, by P.M. A. Hanson! and assisted by A. M. Rust, J, H. McKenzie, D. McLeod, R. Thorn , and J. Taylor, P. M. The W.M.-elect was inducted in the Chair of King Solomon, according to ancienc custom. The following are the officebearers for the ensuing year : Brother H. &. Hill, W.M., Brothers T. McClintock, 1.P.M.; George Stewart, S.W.; C. Eylis, J.W.; W. A. M. Bain, Treasurer; H. H. Sisson, P.M., Secretary; N. McKenzie, S.D.; J. R. Royburn, J.D.; W. R. Nairn, 1.G.; A. Peterson, Tyler. The ceremonial business of the meeting being ended, the lodge was closed in peace, love, and harmony. The brethren adjourned co th<2 Settlers' Hotel, where a banquet was prepared by Mr, W. B. John's Lodge, S.C., passed a resolution this evening that their charter be returned to the Grand Lodge of Scotland, and that application be made to the Grand Lodge of New Zealand for a charter. The Grand Lodge, New Zealand Constitution, granted a dispensation enabling the lodge to continue work. •' ! " I
