I Messrs. Esam and Arthur's Weekly Report.—Potatoes have been in more limited supply, and prices may be considered as 5s a ton better than last week's. We do not anticipate much farther rise, as Southern shippers are ready to supply. Market continues uneventful in cereals. Onions are exceedingly scarce, supplies not being adequate to requirements. Fresh butter in good supply, with prices maintained. Considerable quantity of salt butter has been disposed of at fair good prices. Eggs are still scarce. Fruit: Local supplies show signs of diminishing ; apples are realising better prices. Poultry in large supply, the quantity of turkeys being so great that prices ruled exceptionally low at yesterday's auction. Onions scarce at advanced prices. Carrots in fair demand; _ vegetables scarce. Grain and fodder in little better demand. Fresh butter sold well. Corned butter goes off slowly at late priees; only first-class samples command attention. Bacon scarce; price for good rules high, a large unsatisfied demand. Cheese of A 1 sample in fair demand ; other lots go off slowly at low prices ; stock light, first-class wanted. Honey is slow at late prices; only "White" on hand.
