[BST TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Thamks, Thursday. May Queen. —Dudley and party, tributary completed a crushing of six loads of quartz to-day for ISoz gold. Consols.—The only tender received for this company's valuable winding and pumping plant was that of Messrs. Price Bros., at £300, which has been accepted by Mr. R. McDonald Scott, liquidator of the company. The purchasers will probably dismantle and remove the plant at once. Warden's Court.—The following applications were dealt with to-day :—R. Comer, residence site, Waiotahi Creek, refused ; George Fisher, Star of South claim, Karaka Creek, granted; E. Broad, dam, Tairua, adjourned till May 3 for plans; Charles Taylor, Newbright small claim, Punga Flat, granted ; A. Chesterman, occupation license, 10 acres, Onetai Creek, adjourned till May 3 for plan. The May Queen Goldmining Company's application for a special claim was also adjourned for want of a plan till May 3. Moanataiaki. — the past week about 101b picked stone have been obtained from Jones' leader at the intermediate workings above the 100-feefc level, and the leader has latterly so much improved in appearance and quality that Mr. Clarke proposes shortly making an effort to pick it up at the last-mentioned level, at which point it has never yet been met with. The quartz coming to hand from the stopes upon the footwall branch of the Golden Age reef above the Point Russell level continues to show colours of gold pretty freely, and is consequently of fair grade.
