THE NEW LAND DELEGATE TO CANADA.
[B'IMELEORAPH.— ASSOCIATION.] YV Ellington, Wednesday. Mb. Lee Smith, who is to represent the colony at the Canadian Tariff Conference in June, is at present in Wellington receiving final instructions from the Government as to his mission. He intended to leave Auckland for 'Frisco by the Alameda on Saturday next, but as he now finds himself unable to get away on that date, he has decided to take the Vancouver route, and will leave Sydney by the Arawa on the 18bh May. Mr. Lee Smith proposes to visit England at the close of tho Conference, and his present intention is to return to the colony if possible by the Gothic early in October.
