Two offenders for drunkenness were dealt with at the Police Court yesterday morning In the first case the offender, a woman, was discharged with a caution. The second caso was that against Julia Fletcher, who was charged with being a habitual drunkard. The defendant pleaded not guilty. Evidence was given by Sergeant Bernard and Constable Russell. His Worship sentenced the accused to one month's imprisonment. There were only two prisoners in the lock up last evening, both on charges of drunkenness.
