Dctnedin, Monday. The annual meeting of the Duuedin Jockey Club was held to-night. The report stated that the revenue was £13,712 6s ad, and the expenditure £14*032 15s. showing a loss oh the year of £320 8s 9d. The revenue shows a falling off of £1233 9s Bd, as against the previous year's figures. The Hon. G. McLean, in moving the adoption of the report, said the stakes , had been reduced, ; and they thus hoped to be able to meet the falling off in the revenue. In reply to a question, he said the matter of licensing bookmakers had been discussed, but had been decided to take other measures to deal with the difficulty. A long discussion took place on the balance-sheet, Mr. Fish condemning the committee for encroaching on the reserve fund set apart to acquire the , racecourse, Eventually the motion was carried. All the retiring committeeman, with the exception of Mr. Sinclair Thomson, were re-elected, his place being taken by Mr. L. McLean,
