CRICKET. WAIKATO \. MANAKAU. m . , , Hamilton, Thursday. The cricket match, Manukau v. Waikato, was played on Sydney Square to-day. The Waikato team were captained by N. Hunt, and Messrs. Sandes and Proude gave every satisfaction as umpires. The team was entertained at luncheon at the Royal Hotel. Hie weather to-day was fine for the match, but no large scored were mads. The Waikato men went in first, but only succeeded laUt^ *?JSe*er 26. Manukau responded with 69. Waikato in their second innings made 55, and the visitors required 13 runs to win, and secured them with the loss of one wicket, thus winning the match by nine wickets.
