Since his famous series of sermons at Oxford two years ago, Dr. Barry has become a " star" church preacher, second only in popularity to the Bishop of Ripon and Archdeacon Farrar. Mr. Frank Harris, the wealthy editor of the Fortnightly Review, is about to start on a tour round the world. Mr. Frank Harris was a great friend and admirer of the late wayward Francis Adams. Mr. Rider Haggard is busy writing at the family place in Norfolk. His eyes being delicate, he dictates most of his work to a lady secretary, who furnishes » rough draft in type- writing, which the author corrects.
