At a meeting of the creditors of Miss Ryan, grocer, Parnell.on Dec. 22, the debtor stated that she had to resort to a moneylender, and gave the following as the result of her transactions with him during the last two years :—Borrowed in all, £48; repaid at various times as per receipts, £84 8s ; amount still claimed, £114 9s.

The Customs revenue for the colony for the month of November was £128,117, or about £10,000 less than the previous month. Auckland contributed £29,324, Dunedin £27,410, Wellington £27,316, Lyttelton and Christchurch £21,541. The total for the eight months of the financial year is £1,099,276, or £19,276 above the estimate for that period. The beer dnty for November was £5779. Auckland paid £1*297, Duuedin £1216, Christchurch £1132, Wellington £620. Total for eight months £38,470, or £1529 below the estimate for that period.
