ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.
A GtJMDiGOER, named Arthur Devitt, attempted suicide by cutting his throat at a late hour last night at the Victoria Hotel, Victoria-street. Dr. Hooper was sent for, and found that the man had made an ugly gash in his throat, four inches in length. The wounds are not regarded as likely to be fatal. Dr. Hooper, after attending to the injuries, ordered the main's removal to the Hospital, to which institution he was taken in a cab by Constable O'Brien.
